This is Module 3 of 7. You will need to complete all 7 for the full course. The Learning objectives for Module 3 are listed below:
Module 3 – Understand the up-to-date Hand Washing Procedures
- 3.1 Explain the role of hand washing for the prevention of control of infection
- 3.2 Identify the appropriate resources and facilities required for correct hand washing
- 3.3 Identify when individuals are advised to wash their hands
- 3.4 Describe the recommended procedure for hand washing
- 3.5 State the advantages and limitations of hand sanitisers
Qualification information
On successful completion of all the modules, learners will receive the ‘Level 2 Award in the Prevention and Control of Infection’. This is an OFQUAL Regulated qualification issued by ‘Gatehouse Awards (GA)’. The Gatehouse Awards (GA) Registration Fee of £40.00 and the Skin College Processing (SCP) Fee of £20.00 are payable separately as they are VAT exempt.
